OGA Entry | Other Government Agency. Customs Duty & Tax Advancement | This applies when your chosen carrier advances the payment of import duty / taxes to the destination customs authorities on behalf of the importer. This aids the prevention of backlogging imports but the courier concerned assumes the risk of non-payment by the importer in doing so. An additional charge is therefore levied and is either charged at a flat rate or a percentage of the consignment value (whichever the greater). | DHL FedEx TNT UPS |
Disbursement, Merchandise Processing or Payment Reversal | In cases where we have agreed to send goods Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) or where customs charges have been reversed, your chosen courier can charge a disbursement fee for handling the payment. Warehouse Storage | Where a shipment cannot be cleared through customs within a period of time usual for customs clearance (typically more than 3 days) a consignment will be put into storage and is charged at a daily rate. Additional Tariff Lines/Complex Entries | This can apply where customs declarations include more than 5 lines items /commodities as customs declarations are entered manually by the couriers’ brokerage teams. | DHL FedEx TNT UPS |
Post Clearance Entry Amendment | On rare occasion you may find that you need to request an amendment to your customs declaration. This could include a change of details such as importer details, values or terms for delivery. Unrecoverable Import Administration Fees | DAP shipments to some countries cannot recover administrative fees from individuals who are not registered for VAT, therefore, these admin charges are therefore billed back to the exporter of record legally responsible for the shipment. | DHL FedEx TNT UPS |
